Our Philosophy

The People Who Brew

Our baristas train for months before they touch your cup. SCA-certified. Curious by nature. They'll tell you where the beans came from, how they were roasted, and why this extraction is different today.

The Beans We Source

Direct-trade relationships with farms in Ethiopia, Colombia, and Guatemala. We buy at auction and on contract — never commodity. Each lot is roasted in small batches and pulled within weeks of its peak.

The Space We Keep

Three corner tables. A narrow counter. No Wi-Fi password posted anywhere. This is a place built for reading, thinking, or the kind of conversation that doesn't happen at a louder café. We protect the quiet.

A corner store
that takes coffee
seriously

Coffee Rx started the way most honest businesses do — with a complaint. Our founder couldn't find a café in Midwood that treated coffee as more than a commodity, so they opened one that does.

We roast in small batches, source directly from farms, and train our team the way we were trained: slowly, carefully, with attention to the details that make a difference between a good cup and a memorable one.

The name says what we do. The rest is just execution.
